Ashtrom Group, through its subsidiary, Ashtrom Engineering and Construction, is behind the laying of the Hebron Creek-Mulada section of road as part of the Highway 31 widening. The lane was constructed for Netivei Israel , joining a long list of highways and main transport arteries constructed by the Company over several decades.
Construction of a Bridge and Median Divider
As part of the widening of Highway 31 along the Hebron Creek-Mulada section, Ashtrom Construction laid two new traffic lanes in each direction, turning it into a two-lane dual carriageway with two lanes in each direction with a rigid divider barrier; the section is 5.8 km. long.
Works in the field entailed excavation and soil backfilling, paving, re-routing of infrastructures and concrete casting including retaining walls and foundation piles. As part of the project completion the Company erected a bridge over Yatir Creek and a footbridge close to the junction. Between the two new carriageways a divider was erected at Hura Junction, as well as preparation for a divider close to Shoket Industrial Estate. In addition, electrical, lighting and communications systems were installed on the site together with the performance of bridge reconstruction, drainage works and landscape restoration processes in cooperation with the local authorities.
