A Decade of Pioneering and Expansion

Established in 1963, Ashtrom Group embarked on its pioneering journey in industrialized construction in Israel, starting with the construction of 1,000 housing units. This was made possible by opening the nation's first prefabricated construction factory in Ashdod. After the Six-Day War, Ashtrom silidifies its position, contributing to the development of tens of thousands of new housing units. During this time, it also expanded into concrete production and raw materials mining. By the end of the decade, Ashtrom extended its construction ventures internationally.  

1963 - Ashtrom Group is founded by Yehezkel Nussbaum, Haim Gueron , Lipa Meshorer, and Elimelech Mayblom. 
1965 - Haim Rubin joins the group as a partner and as a representative of the Gutwirt family. 
1966 - Entry into the Construction Industries Sector.
1967 - Post Six day war, construction activity expands throughout the country. 
1969 – Launching first construction projects overseas 

A Decade of Residential Development   

In 1973, Ashtrom Group expanded its operations in residential development in Israel. Within a decade, Ashdar (now Ashtrom Residences) was founded, becoming the group's primary development arm and playing a key role in the construction of tens of thousands of residential units in both new and existing neighborhoods across the country. Concurrently, the group's international division extended its reach into residential development in the US during this period.

1973 - Entering the field of residential development by establishing Elram, in partnership with Israel Corporation LTD.
1981 - First residential development ventures in the USA.
1982 - The Group expands its activity in the residential sector with the founding of Ashdar.

A Decade of Income-Generating Properties 

During this decade, the Ashtrom Group strategically expanded its portfolio by entering the income-generating properties sector, leveraging its robust construction expertise. The journey began with the development of the Bat Yam Mall (now known as “Big Fashion” Mall). This led to the establishment of Ashtrom Properties, a division focused on initiating and acquiring income-generating assets in Israel, Germany, and England.

1987 - Establishment of Ashtrom Properties, the division responsible for initiating, building, and managing  income-generating properties in Israel and abroad.
1993 -  Launching the 16,000 sqm Bat Yam Mall.

A Decade of Immigration and New Neighborhoods 

As the significant waves of immigration from the former Soviet Union began, Ashtrom Group was well-prepared to meet the challenge, constructing thousands of housing units within just three years—an unprecedented rate.  During this decade, the group played a key role in establishing new cities and expanding neighborhoods across the country, from north to south.

1995 - Establishment of the city of Beitar Ilit, with 1,200 housing units.
1996 - Development of a new residential neighborhood for immigrants in Kiryat Shmona.
1997 - Expansion of a new neighborhood for immigrants in Kiryat Gat.
1999 - Establishment of a private housing neighborhood in Kfar Tavor.

A Decade of National Infrastructures

In the late 1990s, the Israeli government initiated extensive concession agreements for national infrastructure projects. Ashtrom Group, in partnership with others, secured major projects like the Carmel Tunnels in Haifa and the Light Rail in Jerusalem. These ventures solidified the group’s position as a leading infrastructure expert, both locally and internationally.

2005 - Expansion of "Eitan" Port in Ashdod, extending the breakwater and adding docks.
2008 - Construction of government buildings in Haifa and Be'er Sheva.
2010 - Completion of the Carmel Tunnels.
2011 - Completion of the Jerusalem Light Rail, a pioneering public transportation project.

A Decade of Growth

This decade saw Ashtrom solidify its financial strength with major investments, increased equity, and its IPO on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, establishing a stable capital base. New divisions, Ashtrom Residences for Rent and Ashtrom Renewable Energy, were launched, while relocating to LYFE Towers enhanced synergy. The decade concluded with Ashtrom Renewable Energy's first U.S. energy project.

2014 - IPO of Ashtrom Group on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, as part of a strategic move to expand its capital base.
2016 - Establishment of a new division: Ashtrom Residences for Rent.
2019 - Completion of the new Haifa Bay Port, the largest infrastructure project built in Israel.
2021 - Establishment of a new division: Ashtrom Renewable Energy.
2022 - Relocation of all group divisions to LYFE Towers.

A New Decade Begins

The decade opened with the "Iron Swords" War, during which the Ashtrom Group swiftly mobilized to meet the challenges of the time, demonstrating both managerial agility and a strong commitment to mutual responsibility and community support.

At the same time, Ashtrom expanded its activities in renewable energy, reinforcing its dedication to shaping a sustainable future.

2023 – "Iron Swords" War: Ashtrom Group takes action.
2024 – First renewable energy project launched: A solar facility in Texas, USA.
2025 – Ashdar becomes Ashtrom Residence, strengthening its integration within the group as one of its core divisions.
